RESTORATION

​Restoration is an art of preserving the original finish on furniture. Devontry handles period pieces that are a hundred years old to modern day retailers. Furniture that has normal wear over years or damaged from your last family gathering, quite often can be repaired without having to refinish the piece. Restoration includes: cleaning and neutralizing the existing finish, restoring the damaged areas with a color application to match, and top coating all of the repairs to the proper sheen. This process is finalized with a hand rubbed English paste wax for protection. To maintain your furniture in the future, we ask that you use a damp cloth for dusting.
